    Detroit Public Schools Community District’s Office of Exceptional Student Education invites GATE-identified students in grades 1–7 to attend Super Saturday — a completely free enrichment opportunity designed to spark creativity, critical thinking, and fun!

    Date: Saturday, November 8, 2025
    Time: 8:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
    Location: Golightly Education Center, 5536 St. Antoine St., Detroit, MI 48202

    During this exciting event, scholars will explore advanced, hands-on sessions in literacy, music, robotics, dance, science, and engineering — all tailored for high-ability learners who thrive on challenge and curiosity.

    Transportation, breakfast, and lunch are provided!

  • The Office of the Gifted And Talented Educational Programs (GATE) was developed to meet the needs of thousands of students within the district who are academically gifted and/or high performing. Our goal is to leverage the district adopted curriculum to meet the needs of students requiring challenging and engaging curriculum.
