  • National Teacher’s Appreciation Week

    CMA Athletics

    Congratulations to our Boys and Girls track teams! The boys placed 5th and the Girls placed 3rd in the Gold division PSL Meet. Good luck Tuesday, May 13th at the All-City Meet and Saturday at Regionals, Stockbridge High School.

    All Honors Award Assembly

    Students who have earned Honor Roll status for Quarters 1, 2, & 3 of this school year will receive a special recognition at our Quarterly Honor’s Assembly May 16 at 8:30 am. Honored students will have a special invitation. Congratulations CMA Scholars!

    Quarter 4 Progress Reports

    Semester 2 Q4 Progress Reports will be distributed Friday, May 16, 2025, during the 6th hour class. Parents, please review and discuss with your son/daughter their current academic performance. There is still time for your son/daughter to improve their grade(s) by participating in daily Instructional Recovery and the Title 1 After-School Tutorial Program.

    **Students who receive a letter grade of “F” in their core content classes (Semester 1 or 2 transcript) will be required to attend Summer School.

    • Are you interested in pursuing a skill trade? Stop by Ms. Mia's office to scan the QR code to sign up for programs at either Breithaupt Career and Technical Center or Randolph Career and Technical Center.

    •  May 28 – Graduation @ Silver Gardens Events Center (Seniors report at 1:00 pm)

    May is Mental Health Awareness Month!

    • CMA will be focusing on Week 4: May 18-24 "The Connection Between Mental and Physical Health"

    End of Year Assessments 

    Parents, please discuss with your child the importance of being present and prepared for the End of Course Assessments.

    •  EOY Reading and Science Assessments begin this week 5/12-5/16.
    •  EOY Math and Social Studies Assessments begin 5/19- 5/23.

    Credit Recovery

    All students with assigned credit recovery must complete it by June 6th. Students who fail will have to start the course again from the beginning. Please contact Assistant Principal Miller at 313 866-9300 if you have any questions.

     

    Senior Dues

    The 4th and final installment of Senior Dues was due Thursday, April 3, 2025. Only cash, money orders, or cashiers’ checks are accepted. Parents and students can pay for their Senior Dues on any day of the week during their lunch hour and at 2:35 pm. See Ms. Green in the main office if you have any questions.

    •  Resolve Conflicts Peacefully: Seek help from staff when needed and use respectful communication to address issues.
    • Take Pride in Your School: Help keep our building clean and safe for everyone.

    Mobile Pantry

    The School Food Mobile Program provides nutritious, healthy food for families. Items will be distributed from CMA’s parking lot on: Monday, June 9, 2025.
