About Fleming Early Learning Center
Fleming Early Learning Center is the administrative hub for the Early Childhood Department for DPSCD. The Early Childhood Department offers Great Start Readiness Program (GSRP) prekindergarten classrooms that provide a high-quality early learning experience for special needs and general education students who are 4 years old by September 1st or December 1st of the current school year. The classrooms are sponsored by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE) and administered by Wayne RESA for prekindergarten students with factors which may place them at risk.
Students selected for the GSRP must meet income guidelines. The recruitment, eligibility, and selection of prekindergarten children and their families are an ongoing process throughout the school year.
