SUMMER REFLECTIONS FROM THE CASS TECHNICAL HIGH SCHOOL COUNSELING TEAM:

First, great job on completing a successful year at Cass Tech and looking forward to seeing you again on August 28, 2023. As the Cass Tech School Counselors leave for the summer, we want to leave you with a few helpful tips and information for a successful summer transition.

DPS Summer School Information:

Please check your DPS email for information about Summer School. If you failed a CORE course(es) (ELA, Math, Science or Social Studies) the link to these course(s) will be uploaded onto your TEAMS Calendar. You will need to contact the site where you have been enrolled if you have any questions about your summer school courses. As a reminder, Summer School, will be VIRTUAL, not in person, and these course(s) will be completed using an online platform known as: Edgenuity. Edgenuity can be accessed through your CLEVER app.

***Summer School will begin on June 20th. You will need to get to 100% completion by July 13h.

Report Cards:

Report Cards for Semester 2 are not mailed but are made available on Power School for both you and your Parent to view on Friday, June 16.

Work Permits:

Are available at a High School site that is open for the Summer: (East English Village, Mumford, Renaissance, Turning Point Academy or Western International High School). Work Permits can be signed by an assigned staff member(s) at any of the above locations.

Fall Schedules:

Are available for you to view on your Student Portal in Power School. Any errors on your schedule will be handled upon your return to school in the Fall.

Summer Work:

As a Cass Technician, learning does not stop even during the summer, so please remember to check our website: www.detroitk12.org/casstech for Summer Work that has been assigned to you for BOTH ELA and Math.
