John R. King’s Top Golf Trip Celebrates Stellar Student Behavior 🎉⛳
As the school year wrapped up at John R. King Academic and Performing Arts Academy, a special celebration was in store for students who consistently showed exceptional behavior all year long. In partnership with our Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) program, these role model students were rewarded with an exciting end-of-year field trip to Top Golf!
This wasn’t your average outing—98% of the students had never even played golf before, making it a brand-new and exciting experience for nearly everyone. From swinging clubs to cheering each other on, the day was filled with laughter, teamwork, and positive energy. More importantly, it was a powerful way to recognize the students who are often quietly doing the right thing every single day.
The trip was spearheaded by Dean Hopkins, who wanted to intentionally uplift students who consistently stay out of trouble and rarely receive disciplinary write-ups. “This trip was about shining a light on the students who always follow the rules and lead by example,” said Dean Hopkins. “It’s easy to overlook kids who quietly do the right thing, and this was our way of saying we see you, we appreciate you, and we’re proud of you.”
After the fun-filled golfing experience, the celebration continued back at the school. Students were surprised with free sweatshirts, pants, and t-shirts—a meaningful gift to remind them that positive behavior truly pays off.
Congratulations to all the students who earned this memorable experience. Your integrity, kindness, and responsibility have not gone unnoticed. Keep leading the way, Mighty Titans! 💙
