Maybury Elementary was buzzing with ambition, imagination, and a few pint-sized professionals last week as students and staff celebrated Career Day in full style! From firefighters and chefs to doctors, dancers, and detectives, the halls were transformed into a runway of dreams as many came dressed to impress.

 

The exciting event featured special guests from Junior Achievement, who spent the day guiding students through hands-on activities like creating business plans, budgeting, and exploring a variety of future careers.

 

Classrooms became boardrooms as students pitched creative ideas—like a mobile pet spa called "Fur-ever Fresh"—and imagined what their future could look like. Teachers joined the fun too, with costumes ranging from chefs to veterinarians, making learning feel like an adventure.

 

“This day helps our students see that their dreams are possible,” said Assistant Principal Engel, dressed as a data analyst.

 

By the final bell, Maybury’s future leaders, artists, and entrepreneurs left inspired, energized, and ready to dream even bigger.
