DPSCD Student of the Week: At Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD), we believe every student deserves to be seen, heard, and supported. For Tyrise Carey, a senior graduating from the Detroit School of Arts, that support began early and has shaped every step of her journey. Summer on the Block: DPSCD Families, join the Office of Family and Community Engagement (FACE) team Thursday, July 3, 2025, for Summer on the Block. There are two locations and times to fit your schedule: Thirkell Elementary – Middle School, 7724 14th Street Detroit, MI 48206, 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. or Emerson Elementary – Middle School 18240 Huntington Road, Detroit MI 48219, 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. There will be free food, giveaways, fun activities for the children as well as resources and enrollment support for families.
