DPSCD School Spotlight of the Week: Gardner Elementary-Middle School, ensures every child gets the resources they need to thrive. DPSCD Student of the Week: At Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD), we believe every student deserves to be seen, heard, and supported. For Tyrise Carey, a senior graduating from the Detroit School of Arts, that support began early and has shaped every step of her journey. Her story is one of courage, self-discovery, and transformation as a young person living with Autism. There are two locations and times to fit your schedule: Thirkell Elementary – Middle School, 7724 14th Street Detroit, MI 48206, 12 p.m. – 2 p.m. or Emerson Elementary – Middle School 18240 Huntington Road, Detroit MI 48219, 4:30 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. There will be free food, giveaways, fun activities for the children as well as resources and enrollment support for families.
