Did you know:

  • In Grades 3–8, DPSCD’s reading scores improved by 4 points, while the state declined by 2 points—narrowing the proficiency gap.

  • On the Grade 11 SAT Evidence-Based Reading and Writing (EBRW), DPSCD improved by 7 points; the state declined by 4 points.

  • i-Ready Reading data shows a steady upward shift in students moving from below-grade level to early and on-grade level placements across all testing windows.

DPSCD Alumni Spotlight of the Week: Congratulations, Kyla DeBoes, class of 2025 graduate from The School at Marygrove, for winning the Detroit Jazz Festival 2025 Detroit Youth Jazz Vocal Competition. Kyla will showcase her award-winning talent during the Detroit Jazz Festival this Labor Day Weekend, beginning Friday, August 29. We can't wait to hear her inspiring performance! Update Your Contact Information Before School Starts: Families, we are encouraging you to contact your child’s school and update your information if you have moved, have a new phone number, or changed any contact information, also include your email address. If you have children attending multiple schools, please ensure your contact information is updated at each school. Please see directions below to opt into the Robo call system.

Users opt back into the DPSCD Robo Call System:

  • Phone calls: Call the Blackboard Phone Hotline at "855-502-STOP (855-502-7867)" from the phone line that has been opted out.
