DPSCD is piloting a High School Yellow Bus Program to provide high school students with safe, comfortable, and reliable transportation to and from school. For the first time, students at East English Village Preparatory Academy at Finney and Henry Ford High School will have access to daily bus service. This pilot program is designed to support families by ensuring students have a safe and consistent way to attend school every day. Families can view route information here or call the main office at your student’s school for more details. Let’s ride toward better attendance and brighter futures!
DPSCD ICYMI Staff Spotlight: Travelyan Chambliss, a dedicated teacher at John R. King Academic and Performing Arts Academy, recently received 12 violin kits thanks to the generous support of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity through their Talent Hunt Program. This incredible contribution will help expand music education and inspire young artists in the classroom. Way to go, Mr. Chambliss! Your commitment to nurturing talent is making a lasting impact.

Benchmark testing begins Monday, September 9, 2023: The beginning of the year testing window opens Tuesday, September 9, 2025. These assessments provide teachers with important information about what students know and can do as they start the school year.
