Get Ready for the 2025 Spelling Bee: Beginning today, Monday, January 6, the School Spelling Bee window opens. Each school will set the date for their individual spelling bee. The first-place winner from each grade level will be invited to compete in the district-wide Spelling Bee on Saturday, February 1. Only the top spellers from 5th-8th grade will compete in the regional spelling bee on Thursday, March 13, hosted by WXYZ. The winner of the regional bee will go on to represent our District in the Scripps Bee held in May. This is a fantastic opportunity for our K-8th graders to build knowledge, skills, and confidence in literacy.
