Science Gets Lit(erary): Reading Your Way to Discovery
Did you know that reading can help you become a better scientist? It’s true! Science isn’t just about labs and experiments—it’s also about asking questions, learning new ideas, and understanding how the world works. And books are one of the best ways to do that!
In Mrs. Case's science classes, students read to discover amazing facts about space, animals, the Earth, and more. From wild weather and water quality to the mysteries of the human body, reading helps us explore big ideas and think like scientists.
Reading science texts, articles, and even stories with science themes builds your vocabulary and helps you understand tricky topics. Plus, when you read about real scientists and their discoveries, it can inspire you to make your own!
So next time you pick up a science book or article, remember—you’re not just reading, you’re doing science, just like our 5th graders.
Reading and science make a great team. Let’s keep exploring—one page at a time!
