DPSCD Student Spotlight of the Week: Congratulations to the 149 students who earned a total of 153 Michigan Seals of Biliteracy! This year, students achieved Intermediate high proficiency in eight different languages: Spanish, Sylheti, Arabic, French, Pashto, Fulani, Wolof, and Bangla—a testament to their dedication to language learning. The Michigan Seal of Biliteracy celebrates world, heritage, and native languages, recognizing students' multilingual skills and expanding their future opportunities. Well done to all our recipients!

GSRP PreK Application is open for Fall 2025! Do you or anyone you know have a student who will be 4 by December 1, 2025? Families can now apply for a GSRP PreK seat for the 2025-26 school year! Career and Technical Enrollment is open for Fall 2025! Is your student thinking about life after high school? Detroit Public School Community District (DPSCD) offers state-approved Career and Technical Education (CTE) in culinary arts, construction trades, automotive, cosmetology, graphics, welding, aviation, and more. CTE programs at Breithaupt, Golightly, and Randolph Career and Technical Centers prepare high school students with the academic and technical skills to earn industry-recognized credentials, and family-sustaining careers.
