Detroit Opera House Performs At Dixon!

The Detroit Opera House recently brought a touch of theatrical magic to Dixon, delighting students from Kindergarten through third grade with an engaging, interactive performance. Three talented representatives from the Opera House visited local schools to present a unique blend of music, storytelling, and acting that had the young audience captivated from start to finish. Their visit aimed to introduce children to the world of opera in a fun and accessible way, encouraging imagination and creativity through the performing arts.

The trio performed classic fairy tales including The Three Little Pigs, Cinderella, and Little Red Riding Hood, transforming familiar stories into lively stage experiences. Students were not just spectators—they were invited to participate, respond, and even help tell the stories, making the event both educational and entertaining. The Detroit Opera House’s visit was met with enthusiastic applause and wide-eyed wonder, leaving a lasting impression on both students and staff alike.
