Durfee Middle School Track Teams Shine at the competition

Durfee Middle School’s 7th and 8th grade track teams are making major strides this season! On May 10, 2025, under the leadership of Coach Lashon Clay, our student-athletes competed at Mumford High School and delivered an incredible performance—earning 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 8th place finishes in the 400-meter race.

Coach Clay shared her pride in the team’s dedication and determination, emphasizing that track and field not only builds endurance but also cultivates motivation, respect, and positive competition.

Not to be outdone, our dynamic 6th grade team had an impressive showing of their own—earning 1st, 2nd, and 4th place in the 400-meter race! Awesome job...

Congratulations to all of our Durfee track stars! Your hard work, sportsmanship, and commitment are truly inspiring. Keep running strong!
