Edison Shines as Top 5 Most Improved School in ELA and Math!

Edison Elementary Honored with Two Prestigious DPSCD Certificates

Edison Elementary is celebrating a proud moment after receiving two awards from Detroit Public Schools Community District for excellence in student growth. The school was recognized as one of the Top 5 Most Improved Schools in ELA and Math Growth for the 2024–2025 school year.

Mrs. Christian, along with Edison’s dedicated staff, attended the ceremony at King High School, where they were honored by Superintendent Dr. Nikolai Vitti and the DPSCD School Board. The recognition highlighted the incredible progress Edison scholars have made through the hard work and commitment of their teachers and leaders.

Staff were both excited and overjoyed to see their efforts produce such outstanding results. The awards serve as a powerful reminder that when educators, students, and families work together, growth and excellence are possible. Edison Elementary is proving that dedication and teamwork truly make a difference.
