Exciting Math Bee Showcases Student Talent
On Wednesday March 12 2025, our school hosted its annual schoolwide Math Bee, and it was a thrilling event filled with impressive displays of mathematical prowess. Students from all grades participated, making it a truly schoolwide competition.
In the K-2nd grade competition, 2nd Grader Malcom Greene emerged as the Champion, with 2nd Grader Kenya Henley earning the title of Runner-Up. Both young mathematicians wowed the audience with their quick thinking and problem-solving skills.
For the 3rd-5th grade competition, 4th Grader Kayla Bassett took home the Championship trophy, while 4th Grader Alauni Alexander was named the Runner-Up. Their ability to solve complex problems under pressure was truly impressive.
In the final rounds, the Scholars faced off in a series of increasingly difficult math equations. The audience watched in awe as they solved complex equations and tackled tricky math problems in a matter of seconds. The two winners have advanced to the Districtwide Math Bee taking place on April 26th, 2025.
A special thank you goes out to our Master Teachers, Ms. Brannon and Mrs. Brown, and all the teachers and staff members who helped make this event a success. Their dedication and hard work ensured everything ran smoothly, from organizing the rounds to supporting the students throughout the competition. We are incredibly grateful for their efforts.
Congratulations again to Lamar, Kayla, Kenya, Alauni, and all the participants who made this year's Math Bee a memorable and inspiring event. We are incredibly proud of our students' dedication and hard work. Here's to another successful Math Bee next year!
