Harvest Fest was a Blast!

On October 31, 2024, John R. King School celebrated its annual Harvest Fest, a vibrant event filled with fun, creativity, and community spirit. Students arrived in a dazzling array of costumes, adding to the festive atmosphere. The K-5 students enjoyed a lively trunk or treat, where dedicated parents volunteered their time to hand out candy, creating a warm and welcoming environment—special thanks to all the parents for their participation!

The excitement continued with a pumpkin run, where students dashed to the field to select their own pumpkins, followed by a pumpkin decorating session that allowed for plenty of artistic expression. Crafts provided a hands-on experience, as students created deliciously healthy snacks to enjoy.

Metro Parks engaged students with interactive experiments, helping them make their own lava lamps—a highlight of the day! Additionally, a video game truck brought even more excitement, while middle school students danced the afternoon away at a glow party. For the younger kids, Smiley the Clown entertained the K-2 crowd with laughter and fun.

With an abundance of candy, snacks, and joyous activities, Harvest Fest was a resounding success. A heartfelt thank you to the Harvest Fest Committee and Ms. N. Samuel for leading this wonderful celebration!
