Mann Scholars Rally for M-STEP Test

As testing kicked off throughout the state, Mann scholars participated in an M-STEP Pep Rally on Friday, April 11th. Students in grades 3, 4 and 5 will take the M-STEP Test in the spring of 2025 and the final bit of preparation was releasing nerves and anxiety and building excitement to show off their hard work in the 2024-25 school year. Mann's young scholars in grades K-2 helped build that excitement as they held a "parade" for their older peers as 3–5 students walked from their classrooms to the gym.

Once the testing scholars entered the gym, they were treated to a performance from Mann's cheer team before listening to tips and words of encouragement from staff. Principal, Dr. Simpson, ELA Lead Teacher, Ms. Joachim, attendance agent Mrs. Vance and Counselor Powell spoke to the students about the importance of rest, a good breakfast, coming to school on time and a positive mindset. Scholars then competed in mini-games to end the rally. The excitement was apparent as the students left ready to rock this test!
