Channel 4's, Darnell Blackburn Reads to Spain Students!

On March 19, Spain School welcomed a special guest for March is Reading Month—Channel 4 News personality and morning traffic reporter Darnell Blackburn. A former police officer and now a familiar face on local television, Mr. Blackburn visited students in kindergarten through 8th grade to read I Believe I Can by Grace Byers, a powerful and uplifting book that inspired listeners of all ages. During his visit, he took time to engage with students, answering their questions, listening to their comments, and offering words of encouragement. He also posed for pictures with staff and students, creating lasting memories. To top it off, Mr. Blackburn highlighted his visit to Spain School on the Channel 4 morning news with photos shared during the broadcast on Friday, March 21.
