Ms. Jacqueline Reaves
I am a proud graduate of Wayne State University, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Marygrove College. I have 10 years of experience in Supervision and Staff Training and Development. I have 14 years of experience in Education and has worked with Detroit Public Schools Community District in a variety of capacities: High School ESE Teacher for students with Autism, High School Science Teacher, Self-Contained Elementary Teacher, and the present position of Dean of Culture for the past 5 years. I am a firm believer that all students are unique in their abilities and education will open doors for every student, no matter their disability, color, or economic status.
As an Administrator, it is my goal to develop a positive climate and culture within J. E. Clark Preparatory Academy by developing strategies to increase the positive outcomes for both student and staff relations. I look forward to working with staff to provide the appropriate interventions and strategies for our scholars which will ensure that behavior issues are not an obstruction to academic growth. As an administrator, I look forward to providing professional development for staff, analyzing data, and collaborating with staff to create management systems that work for our distinctive population of scholars. I also look forward to creating partnerships with community stakeholders and parents to further reach our goal of improved climate and culture, and academic growth.
