Mrs. Chrite & Ms. P. Pollard

Mrs. Chrite has been a proud member of the Gardner Elementary community for the past eight years, where she currently teaches 2nd grade math, science, and social studies. During her time here, she has had the privilege of helping young learners build a strong foundation in critical thinking, problem-solving, and curiosity about the world around them. Her passion lies in creating a classroom environment where students feel supported, encouraged, and motivated to reach their full potential. Outside of the classroom, Mrs. Chrite is a dedicated parent and grandparent—blessed with 7 children and 11 grandchildren who continue to inspire her every day. Family is at the heart of everything she does, and she brings that same sense of care and commitment into her teaching. In her free time, Mrs. Chrite enjoys diving into exciting stories about werewolves, which spark her imagination, and relaxing with a good action movie. These hobbies not only bring her joy but also remind her of the power of storytelling and creativity—qualities she strives to pass on to her students.

Academic Interventionist — Ms. Bryant-Weekes

Ms. Bryant-Weekes is an Academic Interventionist at Gardner Elementary and will celebrate her first year with the school this coming October. In her new role, she supports students in reaching their academic goals by providing targeted instruction and encouragement. Ms. Bryant-Weekes continues to bring her positive energy and dedication to helping every child succeed, while also fostering strong connections with families and staff. A fun fact about her is that her father is from Barbados—the same island home as world-famous singer Rihanna! She is proud of her heritage and excited to continue growing with the Gardner family.
