We draw upon the expertise of our educators and work together to create models of outstanding achievement in every classroom. Through implementing high-quality instructional materials and transforming the academic culture in our schools, we challenge and inspire our students to thrive in the world. With a wide variety of academics and enrichment opportunities aligned with state standards, we support students in unlocking their potential as they extend their skills and talents beyond the classroom. Our core curriculum includes:
- English Language Arts - We are committed to nurturing and developing a strong literacy foundation for all students in the early school years by implementing literacy instructional frameworks that prepare students to become independent readers and writers.
- Math - The mathematics curriculum seeks to ensure mathematical competence and confidence in students in mathematics-rich classroom environments.
- Science - Classroom experiences in science are connected to real-world phenomena and provide opportunities to engage in science and engineering practices through exposure to STEM-related career pathways.
- Social Studies - Students gain the content knowledge, intellectual skills, and core democratic values necessary for fulling their civic duties in a participatory democracy and effectively engaging in our global society.

- Physical Education - All students in grades K-8th grade participate in gym. Students gain knowledge through activities and grade-level exercises. They work extremely hard to complete the tasks given to them. There is a Rockwall for climbing and a walking track for walking and running.
- Choir - Students use their vocal ability to sing songs from different genres, ethnicity, and cultures. They will also have a chance to showcase their talent through special programs such as Christmas, Black History, and Spring Concert.
- Art - Welcome to the creative, challenging, and inspiring world of Elementary Art! Mrs. Gunter is so excited to be teaching your kiddos this year! Her Art class is a positive and stimulating place where they will explore and express their artistic ideas using the Elements of Art and the Principles of Design. The students will be challenged to problem solve, collaborate, and think creatively during the art-making process. She is super excited for her students to produce some amazing art this year!
Elements of Art - Line, Shape, Form, Texture, Color, Value, SpacePrinciples of Design - Unity, Pattern, Rhythm, Balance, Variety, Emphasis, Proportion
- PBIS - ( Positive Behavior in School ) - Students put forth their best effort to show examples of what it looks like to be kind, be respectful and be safe
- Debate - Students use this time to discuss the topics at that specific time. Topics can be about problems in the school system all the way to the issues that are going on at the White House. Students use their skills and bring facts to the discussion.
- Student Council - Students in grades 4th and 5th are to pick one representative and students that are in 6,7 and 8th are to pick officers. These students will be working under the direction of Ms. Furlow to make important decisions as to what activities will be allowed for students to have during the school year.
- Computers - Students are exposed to so many wonderful materials under each common core curriculum. They continue to stay engaged and develop knowledge from the teachers.
- Students of the Month - Students that are in uniform daily, on time to school, come every day, complete assignments in class and return homework, participate in class, follow ALL rules, and show empathy to their peers and others.
- Club Friday - Students are given choices to pick specific clubs such as Media Arts, Beauty, Arts, Interior Design, Dance Club, Chess, PBIS Store, Barber Shop, Spanish, Soccer, Boys / Girls Basketball, and Cheer.
