Mr. Christopher Bryant

Mr. Christopher Bryant is thrilled to be Carstens' Assistant Principal. He comes to Carstens after serving the same role at Bunche Preparatory Academy for over three years.

Prior to being an administrator, A.P. Bryant was an English teacher at A.L. Holmes, Frederick Douglass and Detroit City High School. He has been a Master Teacher, ELA Instructional Specialist, and selected as part of the first cohort of Superintendent's Fellows in 2018. He has been with the district since 1999.

A native of Iowa City, Iowa (Go Hawks!) and a Detroit resident, he received his BA in English Education from the University of Northern Iowa, his MA in Education from Wayne State University, and his administrator's certification from Lamar University.

In his spare time, A.P. Bryant likes to travel with his wife, read, listen to podcasts, watch classic movies, collect sports cards, and root on the Lions, Tigers, and Iowa Hawkeyes.
