Detroit Public Schools Community District (DPSCD) invites you to the Fourth Annual Math in the D Extravaganza, a fun-filled event featuring non-traditional math activities, music, food, problem-solving, games, prizes, and awards. Seventh through 12th graders, teachers, families, and community members are welcome to explore booths and participate in engaging activities related to math, including robotics, games, drone flying, sports, and more! They will hear from guest speaker Divya Iyer, Professional Engineer and Project Management Specialist for MDOT. Math in the D aims to challenge the stigma that mathematics is just numbers and connect the real world to mathematics. This event will highlight the informal ways we use math in our everyday lives and provide a platform for students to showcase their problem-solving skills and creativity. Come join the best math party in town with awesome music, people, and vibes that are guaranteed to get you in the mood for some friendly competition!
