A Kindergarten Oral Health Assessment (KOHA) is required for children entering kindergarten or first-time first graders in Michigan.
Parents must submit their student's KOHA form to the school after they visit a dentist.

SUPPORT RESOURCESWhen are students considered homeless?
The district's liaison determines McKinney-Vento eligibility if a student lacks a fixed, regular, adequate nighttime residence, which includes the following living situations:

sharing the housing of others due to loss of housing, economic hardship, or a similar reason.

staying in motels, trailer parks, or campgrounds due to the lack of an adequate alternative.

staying in shelters or transitional housing; or sleeping in cars, parks, abandoned buildings, substandard housing, or similar settings.

A McKinney-Vento Student Referral Form must be submitted each academic year. Eligible students will have access to additional District resources to help them excel academically and socially.
