Camp Burt Shurly is a licensed residential summer camp owned by the District and operated by the Detroit Rescue Mission Ministries, located in Livingston County. Situated on two lakes, the camp boasts acres upon acres of trails and wooded areas. Each summer, the camp offers students ages 8-12 the opportunity to attend summer camp. While at camp, students sleep in single-gendered cabins with camp counselors, explore the trails and grounds of the camp, canoe, swim, participate in arts and crafts, and challenge themselves on outdoor adventure equipment- all while making memories that last a lifetime.
