DPSCD has two International Baccalaureate World Schools, Cass Technical High School and Renaissance High School. The IB Diploma Programme is available at these schools and builds students’ inquiring mindset, fosters their desire to learn, and prepares them to excel beyond high school.
The Diploma Programme (DP) curriculum is made up of six subject groups and the DP core, comprising theory of knowledge (TOK), creativity, activity, service (CAS), and the extended essay. Through the Diploma Programme core, students reflect on the nature of knowledge, complete independent research, and undertake a project that often involves community service. Students take end of course exams and may earn a qualifying score that earns them college credit. The IB Diploma is internationally recognized.
