-
Detroit Public Schools Community District is proud to sponsor the Metro Detroit Scholastic Chess League (City League) which features elementary, middle, and high school teams from the Detroit area. Teams compete to see who the top chess teams are in the city. The regular season typically runs from September to March. State tournaments usually start in February and national tournaments follow soon after that, from April to May.
If you are interested in joining the City League, please contact LaRhonda McCann.
If you are interested in starting a chess club or team at your school, for questions concerning coaching logs, or for any other chess-related questions, please contact LaShawn Sims.
